Founded in Kyoto in 1889 by Fusajiro Yamauchi, Nintendo entered home video games with the Color TV-Game series (1977–1979) and Game & Watch (1980). Its Famicom (1983) and Game Boy (1989) were followed by the Super Famicom, Nintendo 64, GameCube, DS, Wii, 3DS, Wii U, Switch and Switch 2.
