Nobuo Uematsu

A self-taught musician, Uematsu joined Square in 1986 and began a long collaboration with Hironobu Sakaguchi on the Final Fantasy series from 1987. He left the company in 2004 to work freelance and founded Dog Ear Records in 2006. In 2024 he announced he would no longer take on full game soundtracks.
