Founded in Sapporo on May 18, 1973, by brothers Yuji and Hiroshi Kudo, Hudson Soft collaborated with NEC to develop the PC Engine console released in 1987. It was known for series such as Bomberman, Adventure Island and Star Soldier. Konami took majority control in 2005, and Hudson was merged into Konami Digital Entertainment on March 1, 2012.
