Ken Kutaragi

Kutaragi joined Sony in the 1970s and designed the SPC700 sound chip for Nintendo's Super Famicom. After the Nintendo partnership ended, he persuaded Sony's leadership to develop the original PlayStation, and later oversaw PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3. He led Sony Computer Entertainment until his departure in 2007.
